Gülhane Park

Gülhane Park is a historic urban park located in Istanbul, Turkey, adjacent to the outer walls of the Topkapi Palace. It is one of the oldest public parks in Istanbul and offers visitors greenery, beauty, and a rich historical atmosphere.

Originally part of the imperial gardens of Topkapi Palace, it was opened to the public in the early 20th century, providing a recreational green space in the heart of the city. The park features large grassy areas, walking paths, ponds, fountains, and diverse flora.

Within the park, visitors can see sections of the ancient Theodosian Walls (Walls of Constantinople), adding to the historical significance of the place. The Gülhane Pavilion, a historic structure within the park, has been restored and is occasionally used for cultural events.

Gülhane Park is located in the historic Sultanahmet district, not directly on the Bosphorus shore. It offers visitors a peaceful environment away from the busy city streets, with views of historic landmarks and access to nearby museums and monuments.

Popular among both locals and tourists, Gülhane Park serves as a tranquil green space that combines natural beauty with deep historical roots in the heart of Istanbul.
